I know it's been a while.

So, it has been a very long time since I've updated - since before the wedding! Let me catch you up on what has been going on.

Well, my visit home was awesome! I really only visited with the Clemson folks. I got to go to the Donaldson wedding which was completely beautiful. I also got to visit CFC on that Sunday and just hang out with everyone. Before that was my short time spent in Charlotte. Never let me go shopping with Chelsea Hall again. We spent around 5 hours in the mall?! It was time well spent though. Midweek with Charlotte was also awesome. I got to meet some more people and catch up with others. I switched cars with my sister and she took my Jeep and I took Frank (the tank... but he's actually a Honda Accord).

Over the next week and then some Frank started acting up. I kept plenty of gas in him, but he kept dying on me. I had him towed once and had to replace the battery and then he died AGAIN!!! So, I was able to move my work schedule around and 2 weeks after the wedding I was headed back home again. Once Frank started I didn't stop until I hit home. During this time my parents were gracious enough to get me A NEW CAR!!!! I was so ecstatic! Now I have Lola the Corolla. Being home that second time made me really miss home. It made me really miss living in the country on 10 acres of land with trees and pasture all around. It made me miss my family a LOT. I never considered myself a home body, but now all I want is to be back home with my family. I'm getting ready to head home again and part of me just wants to stay there. I know I have to come back (and I will), but that doesn't mean the desire to be home isn't there.

Something else that has happened since my last update is my career change/choice. I have pretty much decided to join the military. I'm still praying and deciding, but so far my desire hasn't changed. I've been praying that my heart would change if this wasn't what God wanted me to do. I've also been praying to know by Mother's Day because that's when I'm going home and can more easily talk to my family about my final decision (they know I'm going military, don't worry!). Currently my mind is made up on going Marines. Crazy right?! haha! Talking to my girl, Lindsey, and she said that she thinks I would enjoy it and I would have to agree. I know it's hard work and A LOT of discipline, but I need that in my life really. Yes, that would mean leaving Wilmington. There is a lot that I need to do and the earliest I would go to OCC (Officer Candidate Course) is June-ish if I'm selected during the February selection. If not, then I could possibly go in October. We shall see what God's course is for me.

What else has happened? OH, WE HAD OUR FIRST BAPTISM!!! Gary Sanders was baptized on April 11, 2012!! AMEN! It's so exciting and refreshing to see his faith and his urgency for Christ. So, Wilmington now has our first brother! Woot wooot!!

Please continue to pray for us here in Wilmington. Families are starting to move down at the end of this month (finally!). College students move down in August. People are trying to find jobs here and homes here. There is just a lot to pray for.

Love,
Elizabeth
